Holy Bible: Contemporary English Version ReviewI've always felt bad that I'd never been able to understand most of the verses I'd read in the Bible. If not for how many of the verses were explained and broken down in church sermons, I'd really be clueless. Several times I tried to read the KJV of the Bible verse by verse on my own, but was never really able to absorb all that I read because the language would frustrate me. Needless to say, I picked it up several times, read a little, scratched my head, then put it down. It always left me feeling confused, and I often questioned my level of intelligence -- ugh! In my quest to find a Bible I could understand, I found this. I can now understand the verses of the Bible as I read them; the events read and flow like a captivating story. I bought copies and gave them to my children to encourage them to read the Bible. Now I look forward to reading the Bible, instead of feeling like I'd been given an impossible reading assignment by my college instructor.Holy Bible: Contemporary English Version Overview
