Northstar: Focus on Listening and Speaking, Intermediate Second Edition ReviewThis northstar book is typical of the others, it offers great lessons in an easy to follow format, focusing on a variety of issues for ESL students -- listening comprehension, vocabulary, and some grammar points can be raised from the texts. However, this edition does not come with the listening cds -- you have to be very careful when purchasing from Northstar to make sure the book is listed "with cds" otherwise you find yourself about to start a lesson with a client, unable to teach. I'm not sure why they would package a "Listening and Speaking" book without the accompanying audio cds -- it makes no sense and is frustrating.
