My plan was to load the audio CD onto my iPhone and have the phrase book in hand to practice some Vietnamese before my trip. The problem is that the audio CD and the book have nothing to do with one another. Listening to the audio CD is pointless for me: there's no way I'll remember the 30+ words per track without any visual reference just by repeating after the speaker. As a foreign language teacher myself, I find this approach incredibly weak.
