Fresh ReviewThis third outing from Mr. Sharpe is compact yet potent in its brevity. Running the gambit from a child's first realization of clay footed gods to a broken adult traveling through hell and coming out the other side changed but whole. This outing opens the passenger door on a solitary desert road and offers to take the reader along for a journey past age yellowed billboards of the author's life. At the cheap toll booth price of $2.99 it is well worth the reader's time to buckle up and take the ride.Fresh OverviewFRESH is a collection of poetry created over a scant few months in late 2010. It moves in many different directions but manages to keep a consistant voice. It has an urgency, and haphazardness to it that celebrates growth, change, and looking forward while still not forgetting what has gone before. It proves that time spent in college can be good for more than binge drinking and sleeping ‘til noon; learning can actually take place as well.
