Collins Latin American Spanish Phrasebook: The Right Word in Your Pocket (Collins Gem) Review`Collins Latin American Spanish Phrasebook' is a neat, pocket sized and comprehensive phrasebook to aid you with your travel communications. It has over 70 topics that are arranged thematically and cover such things as talking to people, getting around, driving, staying somewhere, shopping, leisure, communications, rusticities, health, different types of travellers (disabled or with kids etc), reference, eating out, a menu reader and a section on Latin American countries, grammar and a 3000 word dictionary. Not bad at all for such a small package. It also starts with a couple of pages with some tips about travelling in Latin American countries in general. Each chapter is colour coded and the layout is clear and easy to access. It may not be as attractive as other phrasebooks out there (the BBC series still wins hands down for me) but it offers a great deal of language, at an excellent price. If you are looking for a holiday phrasebook I'd highly recommend you consider this book, it has everything you could need in an attractive little package.
