The Fancy ReviewI am so happy that I found this book. I have had my Kindle for over a year now and I cannot tell you how many books I have purchased that I probably will never finish. And I can honestly tell you I finished this book in 2 days. What an amazing book. This book was "My Fair Lady" meets "Roots". I fell inlove with Suga and Quinton. I found myself really rooting for them. It had alot of heart and very discriptive. I had no idea where the characters were heading and I loved it. So many interracial romance novels are quick reads with no substance. When I read this specific genre thier are 3 factors that I look for 1)I have to actually like the characters within the first couple pages 2)Some sizzle but not porn and 3) Alittle jealousy goes a long way. And this had it all. I even found some humor.
This was my first time reading Mercedes Keyes, and I am hooked. I actually purchased Princess Ces'alena before I even finished this book. I have read other authors where people sing thier praises, but yet I did not enjoy thier writing style. Mercedes was definitely not the case. She made me fall in love with the characters and when I was reading I could see the book play out in my head. I have not been this excited over an author since legendary interracial romance author Sandra Kitt. My only issue was the prices of the books. Thank god for my kindle. However I would rather pay more money for books with substance then books that I can't even finish reading. And with this genre growing the way it has it is nice to read an author that you love.
