Gimmick I: Fran鏰is Parl(The Gimmick Series) ReviewThis is a great book if you're a notch-above French speaker and ready to learn some rich, colorful French slang. I got a lot of mileage out of Le Gimmick when I was a student in Paris in the 80s. It has a wonderful compendium of French slang terms translated from English to French and vice versa. My French friends enjoyed learning colloquialisms like "If my Aunt had some she'd be my Uncle." The whole thing is eminently readable and you wind up learning a lot along the way.
